Mercedes W123/S123 200T kombi wagon finished in rare walnut brown also referred to as Moorbraun (479) with the contrasting Henna red series two herringbone interior. A beautiful example and without doubt one of the finest available in todays market.
Ownership and History
The car was in long term ownership by the same family from new prior to my purchase in 2015. This particular example has covered just 79,874 miles and during my ownership has undergone thorough and delicate recommissioning work paying close attention to fine details in preserving its originality whilst maintaining it to the highest standard. It's clear that this car has been meticulously maintained all of it's life, also a prized possession of the previous owner who sadly passed away in 2015. It has recently been featured in the Mercedes enthusiasts magazine and is well known in the classic car show scene.
Mechanical
The car starts on the button and the legendary carburetor M102 engine performs faultlessly with no issues. The 4 speed manual gearbox is also in superb condition again with no problems at all. Recent suspension and brake work and a full engine service including plugs oil and filters, antifreeze renewal, rear differential oil renewed along with the LHM Fluid replenished for the self levelling suspension system. MOT until Jan 2018, happy to provide 12 months upon sale if required.
Bodywork, interior and equipment
The paint and bright work is beautiful and really sets the car off. No rust or even a scratch to mention of on the body. The interior overall is excellent with half zebrano dash wood finish and superb henna red upholstery and still has the Blaupunkt radio cassette fitted. As stated this is a very original example where all the equipment is preserved to the factory specification. The spare wheel is unused, and each of the windows still have the registration mark l
